Linda Major teaches Theater I, Theater II, Musical Theater, and Advanced Productions at Leander High School. She is the Fine Arts Department Chair as well as the UIL coordinator. She received her BSE from Mary Hardin Baylor University and her MA in directing from Southwest Texas University. She has achieved State award-winning results during her years at Leander High School, and has served on the state board for the International Thespian Society. Linda is named to the National “Who’s Who of American Teachers” and was honored with being selected for the UIL Southwestern Bell Sponsor Excellence Award. She was also recognized by Governor Rick Perry as one of Texas’ top educators.
More recently, she has been presented with the K-EYE Silver Apple Award. In August of 2004, Major traveled with her students to Edinburgh, Scotland where they were honored as one of the top two theatre departments in the state of Texas.
Jeff Davis teaches Technical Theatre and the IB Theatre Program at Leander High School. An Austin transplant, he was born and raised in Southern California and received his Bachelors Degree in Theater from UCLA. Mr. Davis has over 20 years of experience in the theater industry as an actor, director, designer, and playwright and currently serves as Artistic Director of Agape Theatre in Georgetown, TX. Mr. Davis has received several BroadwayWorld-Austin Award Nominations for his work with Agape Theatre and the Georgetown Palace. He is extremely excited to work and collaborate with the incredible students in Leander’s Theater Program.
